Driver, 32, Airlifted In Garden State Parkway Rollover Crash, Police Say (Update)

One person was airlifted in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County on Sunday, May 19, authorities said.

A Honda passenger car and Ford pickup truck were both heading south when the two collided near milepost 83.8 around 3:30 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

The crash caused the Ford to run off the right side of the roadway and overturn in Toms River, Lebron said.

The Honda driver, a 32-year-old Beachwood resident, was airlifted with serious injuries while the driver and passenger of the Ford suffered minor injuries.

Footage from Exit 82 Scanner News shows two medical choppers responding to the scene, as well as the pickup truck with smashed windshield.
